Urologic Diseases

Definition: Diseases of the urinary tract in both male and female. It does not include the male genitalia for which UROGENITAL DISEASES is used for general discussions of diseases of both the urinary tract and the genitalia.

Urologic Diseases Categories.
Bladder Diseases
Hematuria - Presence of blood in the urine.
Hemoglobinuria - The presence of free hemoglobin in the urine.
Kidney Diseases
Proteinuria - The presence of proteins in the urine, an indicator of KIDNEY DISEASES.
Ureteral Diseases
Urethral Diseases
Urinary Calculi - Calculi in any part of the urinary tract. According to their composition or pattern of chemical composition distribution, urinary calculi types may include alternating or combination, cystine, decubitus, encysted, fibrin, hemp seed, matrix, mulberry, oxalate, struvite, urostealith, and xanthic calculi.
Urinary Fistula - An abnormal passage in any organ of the urinary tract or between urinary organs and other organs.
Urination Disorders - Disorders in the frequency of urination, the volume of urine produced or eliminated, or the ability to retain or void urine in normal fashion.
