Euthyroid Sick Syndromes

Definition: Abnormalities in thyroid hormone and thyroid-stimulating hormone levels, often simulating hypothyroidism, in euthyroid patients suffering some other illness, such as diabetes mellitus or liver cirrhosis.
Notes: abnorm thyroid-related hormone levels "in euthyroid patients suffering from some other illness"; differentiate from THYROID HORMONE RESISTANCE SYNDROME where no other dis is present
