Personality Tests

Definition: Standardized objective tests designed to facilitate the evaluation of personality.

Personality Tests Categories.
Personality Inventory - Check list, usually to be filled out by a person about himself, consisting of many statements about personal characteristics which the subject checks.
Projective Techniques - Techniques whereby personality attributes are revealed through the subject's responses to relatively unstructured, ambiguous, or vague stimuli. These responses represent projections of the subject's own fears and needs.
Word Association Tests - Lists of words to which individuals are asked to respond ascertaining the conceptual meaning held by the individual.
