Pneumovirus

Definition: A genus of the family PARAMYXOVIRIDAE (subfamily PNEUMOVIRINAE) where the human and bovine virions have neither hemagglutinin nor neuraminidase activity. RESPIRATORY SYNCYTIAL VIRUS, HUMAN is the type species.

Pneumovirus Categories.
Murine pneumonia virus - A species of the genus PNEUMOVIRUS causing pneumonia in mice.
Respiratory Syncytial Viruses - A group of viruses in the PNEUMOVIRUS genus causing respiratory infections in various mammals. Humans and cattle are most affected but infections in goats and sheep have also been reported.
