Calculi

Definition: An abnormal concretion occurring mostly in the urinary and biliary tracts, usually composed of mineral salts. Also called stones.

Calculi Categories.
Gallstones - Solid crystalline precipitates in the BILIARY TRACT, usually formed in the GALLBLADDER. Gallstones, derived from the BILE, consist mainly of calcium, cholesterol, or bilirubin.
Salivary Calculi - The presence of calculi in a salivary duct or gland.
