Posture

Definition: The position of the limbs or the carriage of the body as a whole. (Stedman, 25th ed.)
Notes: the position of the body as a whole; PRONE POSITION & SUPINE POSITION are also available; HEAD-DOWN TILT is available for studies on this position in space flight, surg & physiol

Posture Categories.
Head-Down Tilt - Posture while lying with the head lower than the rest of the body. Extended time in this position is associated with temporary physiologic disturbances.
Prone Position - The posture of an individual lying face down.
Supine Position - The posture of an individual lying face up.
