Hospital Units

Definition: Those areas of the hospital organization not considered departments which provide specialized patient care. They include various hospital special care wards.

Hospital Units Categories.
Delivery Rooms - Hospital units equipped for childbirth.
Hemodialysis Units, Hospital - Hospital units in which care is provided the hemodialysis patient. This includes hemodialysis centers in hospitals.
Intensive Care Units - Hospital units providing continuous surveillance and care to acutely ill patients.
Nurseries, Hospital - Hospital facilities which provide care for newborn infants.
Operating Rooms - Facilities equipped for performing surgery.
Self-Care Units - Rooms in health care facilities for patients who require a minimal level of care.
