Ancient Lands - Geographical sites known to be extant in a remote period in the history of civilization, familiar as the names of ancient countries and empires.
Commonwealth of Independent States
Czechoslovakia - Created as a republic in 1918 by Czechs and Slovaks from territories formerly part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The country split into the Czech Republic and Slovakia 1 January 1993.
New Guinea - Originally an island of the Malay Archipelago, the second largest island in the world. It divided, West New Guinea becoming part of Indonesia and East New Guinea becoming Papua New Guinea.
