Feminization |

Hyperandrogenism - A state characterized or caused by an excessive secretion of androgens by the adrenal cortex, ovaries, or testes. The clinical significance in males is negligible, so the term is used most commonly with reference to the female. The common manifestations in women are hirsutism and virilism. It is often caused by ovarian disease (particularly the POLYCYSTIC OVARY SYNDROME) and by adrenal diseases (particularly ADRENAL GLAND HYPERFUNCTION). |

Hypogonadism - Condition resulting from or characterized by abnormally decreased functional activity of the gonads, with retardation of growth and sexual development. |

Puberty, Delayed - Unusually late sexual maturity. |

Puberty, Precocious - Unusually early sexual maturity. |

Virilism - Development of masculine traits in the female. |
