Thiamine Pyrophosphate

Definition: The coenzyme form of vitamin B1 (THIAMINE), present in many animal tissues. It is a required intermediate in the PYRUVATE DEHYDROGENASE COMPLEX and the KETOGLUTARATE DEHYDROGENASE COMPLEX.
Notes: do not confuse with THIAMINE PYROPHOSPHATASE
