A genus of CALLITRICHINAE occurring in forests of Brazil and Bolivia and containing eight species. They are C. jacchus (common marmoset), C. argentata (black-tailed marmoset), C. chrysoleuca (yellow-legged or golden marmoset), C. aurita (white-eared marmoset), C. flaviceps (buff-headed marmoset), C. penicillata (black-pencilled or black-eared marmoset), C. geoffroyi (white-fronted or Geoffrey's marmoset) and C. santaremensis (Santarem marmoset). |
