Definition: Infections caused by bacteria that retain the crystal violet stain (positive) when treated by the gram-staining method.

Bacillaceae Infections - Infections with bacteria of the family BACILLACEAE.
Bifidobacteriales Infections - Infections with BACTERIA of the order Bifidobacteriales. This includes infections in the genera BIFIDOBACTERIA and GARDNERELLA, in the family Bifidobacteriaceae.
Clostridium Infections - Infections with bacteria of the genus CLOSTRIDIUM.
Erysipelothrix Infections - Infections with bacteria of the genus ERYSIPELOTHRIX.
Listeria Infections - Infections with bacteria of the genus LISTERIA.
Staphylococcal Infections - Infections with bacteria of the genus STAPHYLOCOCCUS.
