Menispermaceae

Definition: A plant family of the order Ranunculales, subclass Magnoliidae, class Magnoliopsida. Members are mostly vines and shrubs and they contain isoquinoline alkaloids, some of which have been used as arrow poisons.

Tinospora - A plant genus of the family MENISPERMACEAE. Members have been used in AYURVEDIC MEDICINE. Hyporglycemic effect has been reported.
