Definition:

Acrylates Categories.
Cyanoacrylates - A group of compounds having the general formula CH2=C(CN)-COOR; it polymerizes on contact with moisture; used as tissue adhesive; higher homologs have hemostatic and antibacterial properties.
Methacrylates - Acrylic acids or acrylates which are substituted in the C-2 position with a methyl group.
Polymethacrylic Acids - Poly-2-methylpropenoic acids. Used in the manufacture of methacrylate resins and plastics in the form of pellets and granules, as absorbent for biological materials and as filters; also as biological membranes and as hydrogens. Synonyms: methylacrylate polymer; poly(methylacrylate); acrylic acid methyl ester polymer.
Urocanic Acid - 4-Imidazoleacrylic acid.
